Biggby Coffee To Open Location In Henry Ford Hospital

Company’s newest location will open in July, becoming the third hospital location in Detroit.

DETROIT, Mich., July 13, 2012 – Spirits will soon B brightened at Detroit’s Henry Ford Hospital, as it becomes home to the newest BIGGBY COFFEE location! Scheduled to open later this month, store co-owner, Dennis Theodorou, said the addition of BIGGBY to the hospital will not only create a craze for the world’s best coffee, but provide a comforting and friendly setting for hospital staff, patients and their families alike.

“The BIGGBY philosophy works extremely well in a hospital setting because we are a place where people can be themselves, relax, and always rely on seeing smiling faces behind the counter,” Theodorou said. “We see ourselves as more than just a place for great coffee, and pride ourselves on getting to know our customers and creating a community of our own in our stores.”

This location marks the third BIGGBY for Theodorou, who also runs locations in Detroit’s Children’s and Receiving Hospitals. Misty Beard, general manager of the other two locations, will also manage the new Henry Ford location.

“There will be great leadership at this location starting day one, which will make the store feel even more like home to our customers,” Theodorou said. “We are looking forward to being a part of Henry Ford Hospital and continuing the growth of the BIGGBY brand right here in the company’s home state.”

Later this summer, the store will hold a grand opening celebration which will include special offers and discounted drinks. The store will also accept hospital meal tickets; offers free Wi-Fi and will be open Monday – Friday 6a.m. – 9 p.m. and Saturday – Sunday 6a.m. – 10 p.m.
