The Melting Pot Restaurants, Inc. Launches National Partnership with Foodspotting to Reward Fondue Spotters

World’s largest fondue franchise is the first national franchise to partner with Foodspotting.

TAMPA, Fla. – – The Melting Pot fondue restaurant franchise has launched the first national partnership with Foodspotting, a location-based dish recommendations site and mobile application that helps people decide what and where to eat while showcasing food from various eateries. The partnership will offer rewards for fans who “spot” The Melting Pot’s fondue dishes.

“As the first national Foodspotting partner, we’ve developed a system-wide social extension of our Fondue Effect creative campaign and added another fun, interactive component to our unique fondue dining experience,” said Sandy D’Elosua, national director of communications for Front Burner Brands (restaurant management company for The Melting Pot).

As part of the partnership, a 12-week sweepstakes will give fondue spotters the opportunity to win $100 Melting Pot gift cards from June 27 – Sept. 25. Anyone who “spots” a fondue dish at any Melting Pot restaurant by taking a picture, uploading it to Foodspotting and tagging it with the keywords “fondue” or “Melting Pot fondue” will be entered to win. A winner will be selected at random weekly.

  • Guide “First to Fondue” features Swiss Cheese Fondue and The Melting Pot’s Original Chocolate Fondue. Both are menu items that have been with The Melting Pot from the beginning, giving first-time diners a chance to experience some fondue originals. Guests who order these two items and spot them in this guide can unlock the “First to Fondue” virtual badge.
  • Guide “Yin & Yang Fondue Effect” features The Melting Pot’s Yin & Yang Martini, Spinach Artichoke Cheese Fondue, California Salad, Land & Sea Entrée and the Yin & Yang Chocolate Fondue. Diners who “spot” these items in this guide can unlock the “Yin & Yang Fondue Effect” virtual badge.
