Eden Motor Group Expands Mazda Presence With Newbury Franchise Acquisition

Eden Motor Group is working closely with Mazda now. They have bought the Mazda business in Newbury from MotorLux. This means Eden Motor Group has places across the Thames Valley where people can buy Mazda cars. They already had some. Now they have even more. Eden Motor Group and Mazda are going to be doing a lot together which is good for people who, like Mazda cars and live in the Thames Valley.

Eden has moved the Mazda sales and the Mazda aftersales operations to a showroom. This new showroom is next to the existing Vauxhall dealership in a town in Berkshire. The new showroom is now open, for customers. It actually opened on February 3.

The Eden Motor Group has an addition and this means they now sell Mazda cars at four different places. Newbury, Basingstoke, Reading and Taunton. This is really good, for the Eden Motor Group and Mazda because they have been working together for a long time. The Eden Motor Group and Mazda have a connection that goes back a long way.

Graeme Potts, the Chief Executive of Eden Motor Group talked about the deal. He said that the acquisition is what Eden Motor Group wants for its long term growth. The acquisition and Eden Motor Groups growth strategy go together well.

This purchase helps us to have a presence in the Thames Valley with Mazda a brand we have been happy to work with since 2013 Potts said. Our plan called Fit for the Future is to have two franchises in one place when we can which helps us to sell more and do better with the things we sell after the purchase, from our locations. Mazda is a part of this and we are excited to keep working with Mazda.

Mazda has some good things going for it. The company makes great products and people really like them. A lot of customers keep coming back to Mazda. The company also has some chances to sell cars to local businesses. All these things have helped Edens Mazda dealerships do well. Mazdas strong products and loyal customers have made a difference. The local fleet opportunities have also been a plus, for Mazda.

We really like the way Mazda works with us as a team so this was a chance for us to sell more Mazda cars Potts said.

This move is going to bring in sales and growth for aftersales in the Thames Valley area, which is really important for Eden Thomson said. Eden is making this commitment after Mazda had a good year in 2025 with sales in the United Kingdom going up by 1.5 percent to 31,443 units, which is better, than what many other companies did.

Mazda is looking forward to the future. They think they will do better in 2026. This is because they already have a lot of orders for cars. People are waiting for the new cars to come out in March. Mazda is also going to release three cars. The Mazda CX-5, the Mazda 6e and the Mazda CX-6e. This will be the year ever for Mazda when it comes to launching new cars. Mazda is really busy, with the launch of these models.

Mazda currently operates a 116-strong dealer network across the UK and confirmed that it continues to expand its representation with both existing and new partners. The company also revealed that another new showroom announcement is expected soon.
