Jollibee is making a move in the United States. One of Jollibees major deals in the US is a big franchise agreement. This Jollibee agreement is for 20 Jollibee stores and it will cover three big states: California, Nevada and Texas. The people, in charge of this Jollibee deal are Datta and Paul Avila and they have a lot of experience running restaurants.
Datta is a man who owns restaurants. He is in charge of SA Food Services. This company runs than 140 restaurants. A lot of these restaurants are part of Inspire Brands. Datta started owning restaurants in 2003. Before that he worked with computers. Datta has a connection to Jollibee. He has known Jollibee for a long time. More than thirty years. He knows Jollibee because of his wife, who’s, from the Philippines.
Avila has been working in the restaurant business for, than 35 years. He used to work with Burger King, Taco Bell and Inspire Brands. At Inspire Brands Avila was a franchise consultant. He helped restaurant owners on the West Coast.
The two partners knew each other before they started working with Jollibee. They worked together before making their Jollibee partnership official.
Datta said that they have signed on for 20 units of the business. They would like to extend that number. They have plans to expand the business further after they open the few locations of the business. The business will keep growing. They will add more units of the business.
Targeting Experienced Multi-Unit Operators
Jollibee leadership says this deal is what Jollibee leadership wants for Jollibee. The people, in charge of Jollibee have a plan that they think will work for Jollibee. They want people who open Jollibee stores to open least three Jollibee stores. Jollibee is looking for people who have done this before and know how to run Jollibee stores.
Peter Wright, the vice president of franchise development, at Jollibee said that they are looking for deals that have than ten units. They want people who own Jollibee franchises to have businesses that’re really successful and keep getting bigger in their areas. Jollibee wants these franchisees to be able to grow their Jollibee businesses and make them more successful.
Jollibee wants to have around 500 Jollibee locations by the year 2030. These Jollibee locations will be in the United States and Canada. 70 Percent of these Jollibee locations will be owned by other people who buy a Jollibee franchise. The other 30 percent will be owned by Jollibee itself. Jollibee is going to keep opening its Jollibee stores. The cost to open a Jollibee restaurant is around $1.6 million to $4.9 million. This depends on what kind of Jollibee restaurant you want to open. You can choose from an options like a food court Jollibee or a Jollibee that is at the end of a strip mall. You can also have a Jollibee restaurant that stands alone. Some Jollibee restaurants have a drive-thru. Some do not. In the year 2024 Jollibee said that its restaurants, in the United States made an average of $4.5 million to $4.6 million each.
